My wife and I hit a few rough spots when we applied for a multi-purpose clearance from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) of the Philippines. Realizing that other clearance applicants might be encountering similar difficulties, I would like to share how we got ours, plus some handy tips. Summary Sign up for a new account on the NBI website. Fill up an online form. Apply for clearance: schedule your appointment and select the type of clearance and payment method. Pay the processing fee. Verify that your payment was processed correctly. Print the application form. On the appointed date, proceed to the NBI office.
