Congratulations! You have just made the final payment on your car’s mortgage. But don’t relax just yet because the record needs to be set straight at the Registry of Deeds (RD) and at the Land Transportation Office (LTO). I would like to share how I fixed my Canon E610 printer’s paper feed problem. This technique might work on your printer, too. A typical printer uses a one or more paper feed rollers. In order to do their job well, the rollers’ surfaces must be clean. The trouble is, they pick up bits of paper dust and dirt from the paper. Paper feed issues begin to appear when the rollers become too dirty and slippery. Make a homemade pickup roller cleaning board A peek inside my Canon E610’s paper entrance showed me where they are located. In the picture below, the pickup rollers can be seen inside the yellow rectangle.  Knowing where the feed rollers are, the next step is to make a feed roller cleaning board which you will slide into the paper tray just like a regular sheet of paper. I would like to share how I obtained my first Professional Tax Receipt (PTR) at the Manila City Hall. I suppose that the procedure and requirements are similar in various jurisdictions in the Philippines. As a first-timer, I needed to prove that I passed the professional licensing exam. So, I brought with me a hardcopy of an email from the company where I was affiliated with which attested that I had passed the licensure exam. I also prepared some money to pay the tax, which amounted to Php 300. Then I went to the Manila City Hall, where I was directed to the Licensing Division on the Ground Floor. There, the staff inspected the email message. Satisfied that everything was in order, he prepared a small slip of paper called "Order of Payment" and instructed me to take it to "Window D" of the Taxpayers' Lounge located on the Ground Floor. My wife and I hit a few rough spots when we applied for a multi-purpose clearance from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) of the Philippines. Realizing that other clearance applicants might be encountering similar difficulties, I would like to share how we got ours, plus some handy tips. Summary Sign up for a new account on the NBI website. Fill up an online form. Apply for clearance: schedule your appointment and select the type of clearance and payment method.
